Burgundy Dinner with Friends (My home - Chicago IL): Popped-and-poured, this was moderately reductive to start, which never completely dissipated through the evening. But still, rich apple and pear were evident with good weight, even if somewhat hidden. The last 1/2 glass was finished a day later, and was much more open and expressive.

Extremely tight to begin with, bound up by plenty of matchstick sulphur. Breathes up beautifully in the glass, revealing gently exotic fruits and a dollop of almond butter. It has a fruit sweet core, great shape and a line of piercing, minerally acidity. The finish is very precise and laden with chalk and lemon.

AB Christmas Bash (Chez Bruce, London): second nottle of this that I've been fortunate enough to enjoy in the past couple of years. Still pale straw, and with Meursault typicity. Minerality combine with a hint of warm butter. Very precise and quite long. ****

Alluring on the nose, and lovely balance. Very good, and much better than most of the 10-12 other 2007 Meursault 1.cru in the line-up. Still a million miles behind the Roulot 'Luchets', which was only Villages. Good, solid quality and very like- and enjoyable.

This is good. Still looking very young. Precise, agrumes, green grapes. Harmonious. A slim meursault.
