I really enjoyed opening this fully mature Washington merlot. The color is deep and dark - almost black plum in tone with no sign of age. The nose is of toasty char and chocolate with dark cherry and plum. On the palate, the wine is creamy-smooth and soft with fully resolved tannins. While I think it's nearing the end of its life, this wine was really a delight to drink now.

Out of magnum. Vey nice, fully mature Washington merlot. Soft and supple, with flavors of cassis, blueberries, and bitter chocolate. Good balance, and a medium-length finish. I wouldn't wait any longer to drink this wine.
