Deep red in colour with lovely bouquet of brambles and dark red fruits. Medium-full body, concentrated and very soft, rich and round on the palate with very good length of several seconds. Doesn't quite have the complexity of a top notch Old World wine, but excellent all the same. Estimated maturity: 2008-2020+

Sine Qua Non vertical (Carlton Restaurant, Zurich): Leather, mocha, classic CdP like, very warm wine, very elegant with a long finish.

California 'cult' lunch at Spago with Leve (Los Angeles, CA): Brambly and wild on the nose with some cherry funk. The palate is OK, herbal, but far less desirable than nearly any Southern Rhone I like to drink.
