Opened for 3 hours and elected not to decant (nose and palate opened well with moderate swirling). Just a wonderfully balanced, nearly elegant wine. Nose has nearly equal light cherry and sous bois with touches of asian spice and floral notes. The palate has the right doses of fruit, acid, tannin and mineral so that none of them pokes out. Some note that this is light on fruit, but I disagree. We had this with red snapper and it was perfect! Great now and will last for years.

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -med dark ruddy red moderate bricking -expansive fully mature aromatics with sweet decaying leaf predominance -med acidity, med weight and density with mostly tertiary savory elements iron and a caramel note, med/med+ chalky/gritty tannins persist on better than average length finish -fully mature profile though a bit unbalanced by the tannins, soulful

probably a bit past peak. No tannins; some fruit, mostly that old wine flavor that things gravitate to.
