Beautifully surprised w/ this wine. Nose and taste remind me of a delicious Zinfandel more than a pinot noir. I will try charbono any brand knowing how wonderful this one was; wish I had more, however... will be fun comparing other vineyards w/ the same grape. This one was top notch...

WOW !! This was really nice wine. Lighter like a Pinot, soft nose (mainly red fruit - Red Raspberry), great taste, nicely balanced, wish I had another bottle. A very nicely done Charbono !

Deep dark purple in color. Nose was "hot" with alcohol, licorice, some black currant perhaps. Difficult for me to rate this wine because I am not totally sure how Charbono "should" taste. Definitely well made. Highly extracted. Initial tight acidity on palate opens up to flint and berry flavors. Long finish with lingering hints of sweet red fruit. Feel as if this still has the ability to age a year or two and does not need to be drunk in 2010 necessarily.

First time for a Charbono, solid light to medium bodied wine, aromas of rasberry and brown spice, has decent body with lots of fruit on the front midpalate needs time to develop a bit thin with dustry chocolate dominant, finish has nice legs to it, high 80s to 90.

Really tight, tart on opening. Over the next couple hours, this became quite enjoyable. Rich, smooth, and still has a beautiful color.
