  • Thai and Riesling Night: [Thai and Riesling Night - Nine Rieslings]
Still showing a lot of development and interesting characteristics. Slightly chemical on the finish, tons of oxidative notes. Dried sweet peaches and apricot, ripe tropical fruit, tastes botrytised with plenty of honey and syrup. Long sweet finish with some acid still kicking.

  • Fantastic. Deep golden colour. In the nose, it's super bright and shining with notes of incense, turmeric, ginger and saffron, super spicy, oriental, some baked peach and honey to go with it. In the mouth, it's almost explosive, not super sweet, fresh and intense acidity piercing its way through the sweetness, it's extremely spicy again, great complexity and length. An outstanding wine.

  • From a pristine looking bottle, this wine had a brilliant deep gold color. On the nose it showed baked apple, cinnamon, and wet stone.

In the mouth this wine was light bodied with nice acidity and excellent length. It was not heavy or overly sweet, so it seemed more like a rich spatlese. In addition to the above flavors, there was a touch of sweet cuban cigar in the finish that seemed to linger forever. A top notch example of a fully mature wine.
