This seems to have been a difficult vintage for this 75% Roussanne 25% Marsanne blend - certainly judging by the other notes. There is definitely an assertive combination of oak and bitterness, but ultimately we were won over by the blend (one of my favourites). A higher score with less heavy handed wine making.

Opened for ErikP who came over his family tonight for dinner. Nice floral nose with a hint marzapan. The palate was rich, full bodied with some light tree fruit. Quite enjoyable.

(Jeff Cohn Cellars The First Date) Light golden yellow color; honeysuckle, green apple and white flower nose; thin bodied, very oaky and unbalanced; medium finish
