Plum, strawberry pie, whipped cream, raspberry, wet oak, and mineral. Very nice yet simple on the palate maybe had some better years. Along with a soft sweet not hot jalapeño. Again zero heat. And past it’s prime.

Really good wine from Merry Edwards especially showing well after 13 years and 90 minutes being opened. Fresh plum, tobacco on nose. Full mouth feel. Lovely mid fruit of cherry, plum and strawberry compote with a leafy, tea presence. Quite good and balanced. However drink up as it is still peaking (or a bit past). Bought 3 years ago on the secondary market but seems to have been cellared well by the previous owner.

Dark cherries on the nose. Cherries, plum, strawberry on the palate. Vibrant acidity, great balance, smooth, polished tannins. A moderate finish of cherries and pepper. Not any real complexity here, but still a nice pinot especially given its age. Enjoyable, but I'd drink these up over the next year or so.

Unremarkable for a SVD from Merry Edwards. Past its prime, should have consumed a couple years back. Significant bricking, clear with touch of brown. Nose is very muted. Acidity is underweighted, fruit is hiding in there still, alchohol really comes out as finish develops. Nothing really out of joint, no major flaw, just tired. Somehow still elegant, but tired.
