Garagiste

(CABERNET Fall Line Columbia Valley) Cabernet Dear Friends, Nothing like an early holiday gift. We offered this wine over the summer for around and it was an excellent buy in boutique-level Washington State Cabernet with an enviable balance and (atypical) varietal focus. That parcel was acquired by our email list in a hurry and it’s obviously been well-received - we’ve had a large number of re-order requests for the wine but Fall Line was unwilling to part with more in the mid-$20’s... How about ? If you purchased this wine at the original price (which was already discounted) now’s the time to double down. The 2006 Fall Line is a terrific representation of what can be done in our state with a tightrope of depth, cool-climate framework and brambly dark fruit that never goes over the edge of reason. What was exotic on release two years ago has now become harmonic - there’s an enticing streak of “animal” normally found in the old-world with good interplay between pure fruit, soil and framing acidity. In addition, the 2006 should last for a number of years which makes it an even better bargain. Domestic Cabernet of this quality (with a ) does not present itself at the price very often so take note... Here’s the CellarTracker page for community opinion: http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=591729 I always cringe when I say something with “retailer speak” attached but...hurry on this one. This parcel is directly from the winery cellar with perfect provenance FIRST COME FIRST SERVED at this price up to 48/person until we run out: 2006 Fall Line Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley - (compare at $25-30 - if we run out, Pete’s has a few cases at the same price and Mad Wine has some around $24, which is still a great price) To order: niki@garagistewine.com This parcel is set to arrive in a week or so (please check OARS for local pick up after Labor Day weekend). It will ship during the Fall shipping season. Out of state orders will be held for free under ideal storage conditions (56 degrees/70%humidity) until shipping is possible. Locals may pick up at their leisure. For current local pick up and arrival/ship information, please see your OARS link below (at the bottom of this offer) - don’t know how to access your OARS? (FALL LINE Cabernet Columbia Valley) Cabernet Dear Friends, Tired of high domestic Cabernet prices? This was just confirmed and it’s another arrow in the quiver of the “you don’t need to spend a lot” mantra that gives Washington State a leg-up on other domestic regions. Fall Line is a small, boutique winery based not far from Garagiste and we can almost walk the cases over to our warehouse. As far as the unknown is concerned, my guess is that very few east of Yakima have heard of Tim Sorenson’s micro operation but that’s about to change. If you find yourself occasionally dreaming of a melted creamsicle of domestic Cabernet with a good dose of terroir and varietal harmony intact, this super bargain is going to get noticed (it already has – see below). This is a wine to serve when your patience for the typical high-acid/low fruit Garagiste offering has worn thin. In other words, this is a yum-ball with its priorities in the right place: ONE SHIPMENT ONLY at this price directly from the winery cellar (a few blocks away – now that’s provenance!) VERY HARD TO FIND outside of the Northwest... 2006 Fall Line Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley - (compare at up to $30-35) Please give us your maximum number up to 24/person and we will allocate accordingly To order: niki@garagistewine.com This wine is set to arrive in a week or so (please check OARS for local pick up after June 15th). It will ship during the Fall shipping season. Out of state orders will be held for free under ideal storage conditions (56 degrees/70%humidity) until shipping is possible.
