Nice bouquet and some oak on the nose, medium to full body on the palate with prominent oak and acidity. Distinct flavor of sour cherries. Medium length and nice finish. Stood well to roast beef and kept its balance. All in all, a nice wine.

I agree with previous reviewer(mreinitz) that this is a very good vintage. For the price point you can hardly do better. Merlot driven but the syrah and cab add depth and complexity.

(L’Ecole No. 41 Recess Red Columbia Valley) Chocolate mixes with herbs, light pepper, and spice on the nose. Nicely textured but not a lot of movement along the palate. Solid and even but overall unremarkable. 50% Merlot; 25% Syrah; 16% Cabernet; 6% Petit Verdot; 3% Cab Franc. 14.1% alcohol.

Nice bottle of a simple red. An everyday wine that I look forward to drinking.

Solid everyday red blend. Nothing spectacular or overly complex, but enjoyable with salisbury steak and mashed potatoes.
