  Nose is a bit funky--almost like fruitcake candied fruit with some tobacco and leather mixed in. Tannins have faded, making for a much softer wine than I remember. Light, floral fruit is the predominate flavor, with layers of dried fruit and leather. Long finish.
  
  This wine is either just past its prime or in a bit of a down period. It was quite a bit better in November 2010 when we tasted it at the winery.
