Lively red purple. Meaty nose. Raspberry and plum, slightly tangy acidity, leather and warm spices. Chunky tannins. A bit closed (not sure whether it will ever open up). Moderately long, spicy finish. Like one of these wines you had with that dream lunch on holiday in Spain. Then it was great, but back at home it does not manage to reproduce its shine. Still OK to serve with chunky, country-style meat dishes.
