  (random weeknight dinner w Mich&Bo) Powerful meaty nose, with white pepper, perfume, dusty lilies, leather, with tight focus and elegance. Dark inky garnet in glass, this showed beautiful concentration, blue fruits and green herbs. Dark berries and five-spice. Soft velvet tannins, lifted spice, clean and transparent right to the end. Some stem, ashy pitch/tar and plummy black earth on the finish, along with savoury olives and blackcurrants. Beautifully integrated and coherent, contiguous and harmonious without getting ponderous. Easy food wine, which paired perfectly with Bo's classic steak!

  Pick up during the wine sales. It is classified under Saint Emilion Grand Cru but the quality is still unknown to me & I can only only find limited information on internet.
  Dark garnet red, aroma of black currant, chocolate and floral notes. It exhibits notes of black currant, cherry & earth on palate. Medium finish and quite a firm tannins, it may have potential to age. Overall not an impressive wine.
