  • Deep golden color – clears at rim. A powerful, in fact heavy, nose of lightly fermented Williams pear and sweet apple lying beneath a honeysuckle bush. The wine is full and round, in a way sacrificing depth for weight. A touch of sugar pushes this to the boundary of off dry, making it an ideal partner for cheese – maybe a ripe camembert or muenster. • Yellow gold. Sweet pear and stones on the full and expansive nose. There is a nice delineation that keeps this from being blowsy. Very full, staining and rich on the palate. Some sweetness, but has a rather dry impression because of the sheer amount of dry extract. This is no wimpy wine – in fact it is just the opposite. Requires serious concentration otherwise it might overwhelm. Not your grandfather’s Sylvaner. A great choice for a blind tasting ringer. Doubt there is anything else like this in the world. Yum….
