(Fourcas-Dupre) Friday Bargains Dear Friends, It’s Friday so there’s no time like today for some great bargains. Here are a few top everyday drinking Bordeaux and a few other wines that I’ve sourced on your behalf - all are in perfect condition and are ready to drink now. I seem like a broken record but these are not about points, they are just solid wines to enjoy without concern for analysis (except the L’Eglise Clinet which is expensive and could use 2-3 more years of patience). All of these would be great choices as a house wine or for events and the prices should be some of the lowest in the world, so take advantage (especially with this level of provenance and storage). We have a limited number of each so please let us know your interest at your earliest convenience - please be patient with final allocations, Niki is doing her best! 2000 Petit Boyer (Cote du Blaye) STRICT LIMIT 6/person 2000 Fourcas-Dupre (Listrac) Medoc STRICT LIMIT 6/person Drinking really well now – at peak. A great bargain from what may be the best vintage of the last twenty. 2003 Fairview “Primo” Pinotage STRICT LIMIT 6/person Based on the crazy response to the Fairview Beacon offer a few days ago (thank you) I went back to the well for this - Fairview’s flagship Pinotage from one of the best vintages since the 1950s. This is not the regular Fairview Pinotage that sells for around very low price, this is their single-vineyard top cuvee that is usually twice as much. If you’ve been hesitant to dive into Pinotage, this price makes it an enticing way to begin. This wine always receives excellent reviews from the Wine Spectator and other publications but the new-release 2003 has not been reviewed yet - take advantage at what should be the lowest price in the world, even lower than in South Africa. This would have qualified for a deal of the year on its own but we don’t have enough. I believe this is pressed from Cabernet Franc and Merlot and it will surprise many of you with its serious palate. First look at 2006 on the Right Bank? 2003 L’Eglise Clinet Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Bord8630 Bord8640 SA7200 Bord8650 Bord8660
