Deep purple red, gorgeous nose - starts minerals, earth and a bit of meat but flows into a laser beam of bright blueberry fruit - beauty palate too, juicy from the start like an Aussie Shiraz, but not so in your face, this has fruit layered over a perfect structure - tannins and acids in place - and the savoury elements make it great with food - finishes dry and minerally, but juicy till the end.

First time tasting this particular vintage, and I must say, I like subsequent vintages more. This seemed like it was lacking something, or could still use a few more years (which might be the case). Still, quite floral and fruity, but without the earthy/peppery component I love in WA Syrah.

(Gramercy Cellars Syrah Walla Walla Valley) Wet stone, light floral notes and intricate dark fruit on a beautiful nose. Compelling seed aromas and tastes run throughout. A gorgeous, terroir-driven taste. Soft and even on the palate with barely a trace of oak. 50% stems. 100% Syrah (largely Les Collines Vineyard). 194 cases produced.

Has been too long since we drank it to give a formal note, but this was a big dark purple jammy Syrah. I recall everyone enjoying it.
