  • PnP and drank over several hours (after straining out all the soft cork pieces - an ah-so was not even able to hold the cork together). Same notes as over a year ago: Overripe blackberry and black cherry fruits that gave way to slightly tangy red fruits that really showed at mid palate and finish despite only 6% Cab Franc, and which made this a much more interesting wine than it would have otherwise been. Smooth with 30 second finish. This wine probably has another several years at peak drinking.

  • Opened two bottles and both corks disintegrated during the process despite great care. Each needed to be decanted anyway to filter the sediment. These really need to warm up and get some air as they improve vastly over a couple hours. As previously noted by others, the nose is muted but the palate is wonderful.

  • The cork broke upon extraction and decanted the wine using a vinturi. We then let it sit for two hours and slowling drank it over the next theee. The nose was kind of non-descript with a muted aroma of plums and coffee. The palate on the other hand was an assortment of tastes. Plum and chocolate dominated while there were hints of coffee, sage and oak. The finish was lingering. It was a really enjoyable wine served with pan seared and then oven roasted chicken.

  • Huge jammy almost candied blackberries on nose upon first opening. This wine took a couple hours, but it softened and allowed some more nuanced element to eventually come through. Hints of Eucalyptus mint, vanilla toasted Oak, and some sage. 30+ second finish.

(Corliss Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley) The aromas are arresting. Light herbal notes, high-toned cherries, licorice, earth, and cedar interweave on an elegantly expressive nose. A powerful wine that opens up and expands, coating the palate with espresso flavors and rich black cherries. Hangs on and on at the finish. More structured than the Red Wine and a bit more brooding. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot. Dionysus, Weinbau, Bacchus, Stillwater Creek, Northridge, and Stonetree vineyards. 15.1% alcohol. 228 cases produced.
