Piedmont Tasting - Westchester Wine School (White Plains, NY): Drank at Westchester Wine School Piedmont tasting &, based upon prior research, I had low expectations. Pale pinkish/red color with lots of bricking; age of the wine very apparent. Wonderfully expansive nose of roses & sweet cherries that never dissipated--my favorite feature of this wine. Light bodied, with lots of sweet red fruit on the palate, very soft tannins as expected, and nice earthy, mineral quality. All elements very nicely integrated here making for a delightfully complex, yet easy-to-appreciate nebbiolo. This wine remains at its peak drinking window, and is a real crowd pleaser that was voted WOTN, and deservedly so. What a pleasant surprise! Glad I have 1 more bottle
