Garnet in color this wine has aromas of cedar, vanilla, and slight dark fruit. In the mouth lacked balance and depth but still had some dark fruit and tannins.

Interesting nose, is it oak? Blackberry? Something we can't quite come up with a name for? Good nose, and that flavor continues into the taste. Lots of oak, this wine has nice fruit and tannins. Not quite balanced, but tasting pretty nicely.

Drinking beautifully... Concentrated red fruit with hints of anise on the finish. While there is definite structure to this wine, it's smooth and refined. The weight is not overbearing and the acidity is in perfect balance with the alcohol. I wish I had more...

Across street from Champoux, I'm told. Quite a bit of new french oak on this. Good New World profile with Old World accents. Concentrated, well made, modern - showing tannin and typical Washington red fruits balance, and some slight herbal character that I like too. 88-89

Tertulia Cellars Tasting (Seattle Wine Co., Bellevue, WA): Nice wine, but I like the Syrah and Tempranillo better. Still quite tannic, and a touch too much wood on the nose. Hold this one for a couple more years.
