Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.
Outstanding. I know. This is not a high-class chateau and '03 was a controversial vintage. So what? From opening to last drop this bottle was unusually enjoyable. Fruit (tannins full resolved), balanced, great nose. Perhaps not as deep as the higher priced chateau, but I could drink wines like this every night.
Best bottle of the lot I bought 12 years ago.
Drink 'em if you got 'em.

Pleasant example of a Bordeaux, especially for the price. Medium bodied with good balance. Typically restrained with enough fruit to give it a presence. Showing some age, but still very drinkable.

Although I do not recall the bottle I had almost 7 years ago, my TN is not that different. Decent, entry-level claret. No drama, but well-balanced, sort of dark cherry, not too much earthiness, although upon opening, the nose was unmistakably Bordeaux.
Probably time to drink up.

Not as good as a bottle one year ago. PnP'd, it started shutting down before the end of the first glass, didn't finish. One week later, the refrigerated remainder turned pruney. Sorry result, but once again so glad I bought so few 03's.
