Surprisingly tasty for a village wine. I had two bottles which had variation. Mushroom, wet forest, dried red fruits, pronounced nose intensity and flavour intensity. Medium acidity and medium- tannin fully resolved.

The wine looks garnet colored. It smells like red currant, blackberry, blueberry, black currant (cassis), fig, prune, forest floor, mushroom, toast and cedar. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry, red currant, black currant (cassis), fig, prune, mushroom and forest floor. The body is medium/full. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
Drank together with Pichon 1985, and a 2009 Chambolle Musigy this Chateau De Pommard had exceeded expectation. Considering it was a poor vintage typically, the wine had surprised and it was the wine of the night.
