Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • The Scissortail came out toe play today. A rather interesting wine that still has some life left in it, although you can definitely tell the age on this one is starting to catch up to it. Probably my least favorite of the wines today. Pour is a light, straw colored wine. The nose is parchment, butterscotch, and locker room. The entry of this wine was silky, but thin. Butterscotch and peach or melon. The acidity of this wine increased in the middle (where it sort of took a fruit hiatus). The finish is acidic, showing perhaps a little oxidation. Chalky and loamy, but finishes clean. Aftertaste is without any tertiary characters that lots of white wines like this will have. Bravo!
