Dark(!) red purple in the glass. Glass not appropriate to get a good nose. Palate of blackberries, black plum, and ashen blueberry cobbler. Firm tannins and medium plus acidity. Lip-smackin' glass of all that's good about Napa from Brian Graham.

The wine is a 50/50 blend of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot. Appearance (5/5) is a very deep, glass-coating purple with red-purple highlights. A tasting pour is opaque at the core. The nose (13/15) is a BIG serving of blueberry cobbler in a new menthol wood dish. Firm tannins present upon pop and pour. These settled down perceptibly with some air time (we didn't let this sit too long) with good blueberry fruit along with some tarry spice and vanilla oak. Finish is long and brooding (15/20). Another masterpiece from Ramian Estate. Well made and drinking great now, but with structure and body that will likely take it to the end of this decade (8/10).

What a nice surprise. This was really good. Decanted for about 2 hours, well balanced fruit with lots of "structure' but i expected that from a 50/50 ps and pv blend. would buy again.
