Forget the drinking range on this one. It was tucked in the back of the cellar. The drinking window ended in 2016. HAHA there is still a lot of life in this one and I am going to purchase a case tomorrow of recent release if I can still get it. There was no rim variation, still very tannic and still had some cookeded fruit. Balanced like an elegant 55 year old. I admit it slipped past me me before I could really think about all of the flavors. I wish I had more of it.

Very not bad for a private label bdx. Solid but not overblown flavors of plums, cedar, and hints of baking spices. Good acidity and ripe tannin. I was expecting much less.

Popped and poured. Medium-plus ruby/purple hue. Refrained aromas of fresh berries, minerals, fresh tobacco, a touch of underbrush. Medium-plus body. Very similar to the nose, with blackberry, a touch of plums, herbs, and a nice mineral-streak. Smooth tannins, well-balanced. Medium-short finish. Not terribly distinctive, but very nice and mellow. May improve over the mid-term.

Nice wine, it took an hour decant and a second glass before it started shining.

Started off big even though we ran it thru a Vinturi. Strong tannins. Stayed this way for the first few sips then calmed down a big. Actually lked it.
