There is a nice berry and cherry pie tone on the nose, with coffee beans and kitchen spices. It shows quite a bit of Mourvedre, with violet and cacao powder coming through, and some dark stone aromas, probably from the Syrah. There is an almost foresty quality to this wine, with distinct berry bush and leafy tones.
Dark stone and volcanic minerals open up the palate, with ripe, sweet berry, chocolate, and spices at the core. There is an almost crisp, smokiness to this wine, and it has a very nice balance and grip. It’s smooth with impressive finesse, and a very well executed blend, showing elements of each of the varietals.

Developing well. Dark wine with intense black cherry notes and some oak.

Paso Robles Blends Tasting, San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival (San Diego Wine & Culinary Center): 64% Syrah, 23% Grenache and 13% Mourvedre. Nice raspberry nose. A little sharp at first (maybe a touch too hot), but good fruit, and a great finish. A little gamy.
