Likeable wine. There is some sign of oak that has not yet been integrated but there is fine primary fruit of and lots of ripe berries on the palate . No sign of any green streaks here .

Sweet red-purple cherry and plenty of earthiness. Really pure and natural; neither industrial nor bretty. Lacks Pinot's big-ticket aspects of aromatic breadth or flavour complexity, and it won't get them as it lacks length and concentration, but it is perfectly in-balance right now - a-point - with no excesses or crudites of tannin or acidity. Classy, pragmatic wine-making for the vintage. Will probably mellow further and drink adequately over the next four years as a more-earthy creature, but I'd drink up now, on the fruit. 89 to 90, 90 pts.

10/29/2020 - Garnet Does not like this wine:
drwine2001 summed it up very well. The wine has not improved with further age. Destined for a beef stew.

A Smattering of Burgundies with an Emphasis on 2008 (K&L Wines, San Francisco and San Francisco Wine Trading Company): Light. Overwhelming wintergreen, camphor. Peppery and thin, devoid of fruit. Frankly poor. Unfortunate confluence of vintage and commune.

Dark red in colour. Juicy cherry nose and palate with lots of earthiness. A bit tinny, but very enjoyable.
