Got this one at Windham Wines in VT. Deep dark plum color in the glass with some ripe red fruits on the nose. It's a bit rhone-esque, both in body and in taste, though much more aggressive fruit. While there's a hint of funk, what predominates here is smooth up-front kirsch. A little pencil shaving action as well. Medium body, and I'm nearly certain it's oaked. Smooth lasting finish. Good wine but maybe a bit sweet for my everyday drinking. Nonetheless, at ~$12-13, this is a good deal and entirely worth a try.
