  • Black in color. Blackberry on the nose. Decent palate of sour cherry, raspberry and earth. Nice with poached salmon w/mustard-dill sauce

  • Raspberries on the nose, strawberries, raspberries, oak, and vanilla with spice on the end. Pretty standard ripe/non tart Pinot with great balance and silky smooth mouth feel. A little redundant for the price but acidity was not necessarily lacking for me in this bottle.

  • Nice, intriguing aromatics but this wine was overtly sweet on the attack and devoid of any noticeable acidity/mid-palate. It tasted much more like the over-ripe wines of Santa Lucia than anything from a cold climate AVA. Perplexing?

  • weighty and dark but lacks a little liveliness. Mostly straightforward black fruits and plummy notes with hints of oak but lacking some complexity and pure Pinot Noir character.

  • Seeing only two previous notes on this bottle I would have to agree with rogerr, as the two notes seem to be in different directions. Would like to know hollandk's impressions as to why he/she felt it was an 84. Not trying to call anyone out, just curious for the input. I found deep berry and and richness all around. While it did get better with air, it still has a touch of heat on it. Even on day two there was a tad bit of heat. I am sure as this gets some time in the bottle the heat will be gone, but an all around nice wine and worth a revisit in 6 to 12 months.
