Wow, this is a big boy. Powerful and intense Gigondas with classic crushed blueberry earthiness. The tannins feel like they are eating away at the inside of my mouth. The wine screams for five more years on the bottle, maybe more. Allow at the very least an hour for decanting.

Dark purple-red color. Full-bodied. Somewhat clunky and fruity at first, but after 1 hour + in the decanter, it becomes very balanced, crisp, and smooth. Typical metallic-dirt, dark fruits, and some spice on the nose and palate. High (15.5%) alcohol, but no heat. Overall a good quality (if over-priced) wine.
