  Based on our previous tasting note from 2016 we opened this bottle with low expectations. This bottle was totally different and quite good. Golden yellow color which needed some air time to blow off some funky aromas (30 minutes) which then turned into beautiful floral aromas, dense honeyed lemon fruit mixed with definite mineral backbone, much fuller body than previous bottle, all in good balance with a mouth coating lengthy finish. Hope our next bottle turns out like this one. Served with ivory Kig salmon.

  We thought this wine was much better 2-3 years ago. This bottle was pretty flat upon opening. It opened up after 45-60 minutes to a pleasant floral aroma. It had medium weight with lemon scented minerals mostly. The finish was medium length and flinty.

  really really nice wine. the bouquet is stunnings, lots of character in there. nice oaky touches, a hint of star anise, little flecks of citrus. deep and satisfying. but the palate is a revelation. a relatively quiet attack is taken over by a blockbuster midpalate that gently gives way to a gentle and very long finish. nice mineral elements, good fruit, excellent structure. this is my kind of wine.
