This got better and better as we drank it. The mature nose promised a great taste and it took a few moments to develop in the glass but then the complexities assembled themselves into a lovely mellow slightly honeyed delicious glassful.

Pale gold. Very good showing some signs of age but still fresh and minerality. Good balance and lots of depth. Classic good quality premier cru chablis. 4/5 (90-93)

Pale gold. Butterscotch, vanilla nose quite powerful. Classic minerally palate with some signs of aging but fresh lively acidity. Reasonable length. Paired with chicken salad with tarragon dressing and went very well. Excellent (90-93)

Bright lemony-silver, no hint of age, no darkening of oxidisation. Wonderful nose, steely minerality mingled with the enticing vegetal notes of development. A great clean, refreshing mouth, a wine in its prime, balanced, full, good length, overall tasting much younger than its age would suggest and with a good few years of delicious life left. Thank goodness I've got one left!
