Still going strong with violets, lavender, dusty red cherry and red berry notes. Pretty cherry and berry fruit, with soft spice tones echoing on the finish. Lovely.

Second Sunday Group: 2000 Frédéric Magnien Horizontal (Our house): Pale ruby color. Aromas of cherry, lavender, spice and florals. Light-bodied, with cherry and spice flavors dancing across the palate and lingering on the finish. Adds a subtle meaty note and the florals really begin to stand out as it sits, and it fleshes out just a little bit on the palate. An amazingly elegant and beautiful wine. 92+ pts.

Sunday Brown Bag Tasting: 2008 Meursault Les Perrières (Neil's): Decanted briefly for sediment and rebottled approximately 4.5 hours prior to tasting. Cherry and mineral notes with a pleasing underlying earthiness. Balanced, with lovely fruit, earth and iron flavors. Long finish. Elegant, soft texture.
