  This was an enjoyable wine but it was trying to be what it never could be - Burgundy. I shared this with friends most of whom thought it was not pinot noir. But it did have its own personality. It had weight flavour and length.

  A delicate, fruity (red fruit) bouquet.
  Lovely fruit (blackberries), balanced, smooth, drinking beautifully.

  Zwei Stunden vor Verkostung dekantiert. Sehr dunkle Farbe. Sieht so ein Moselspätburgunder aus? In der Nase knapp mittlere Intensität halten sich dezente Frucht und ein Rest Holz die Waage. Nicht unangenehm, aberauch nicht sonderlich komplex. Im Mund gut mittleres Volumen, relativ kräftige, aber nicht aggressive Tannine, Veilchennote. Leichte Süsse, etwas knappe Säure. Reife Frucht, aber einen Tick plump, als wenn jemand demonstrieren wollte, dass man an der Mosel richtig roten Rotwein machen kann... Nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht wirklich aufregend. Ex-Icono, für mich offen. (85/100)
