Here I found a dark and brooding bouquet, which gained richness and sweetness over time as it's intense blue and black fruits gave way to hints of cedar, grilled herbs, violets and floral undergrowth. Silky-soft textures caressed the palate with a vibrant zing of acidity adding a sharp lift, as ripe black fruits, blueberry skins, inner violet tones and minerals blanketed the senses. The finish was long with a staining of dark fruits, a bitter twang of black tea, dried citrus and hints of resolved tannin. Yum!

Gonna move this up a point from last time. Everything I said plus. Really not like and dolcetto I've had before. Way more stuffing. Lots of blue fruits and a healthy amount of structure as well. Had it with a tomato sauce dish and it was an almost perfect match. Well worth getting.

Excellent but still too young. Bracing acidity and minerality that gives the red fruit nice lift. Gonna wait on my other bottles to see where this goes. As it resolves I think it will be ever better.

Hands down the best dolcetto I've had. Gorgeous, dusty boysenberry aromas waft from the glass. The fruit is bluer on the palate and the whole package shows depth and beautiful structure. The earthiness here is elegant. Long finish and great with an array of foods, even a substantial fish!

As good a dolcetto as I've ever had. Agree with comments about blue and purple fruit and lots of minerality and acidity.
