Always a winner! Super balance! No Dolcetto bitterness either. Viva Vajra, the surest bet in Piedmont for class, elegance & pristine fruit all wrapped up in classic Piedmont terroir! Perfect with takeout pizza (flatbreads) from Chianti Grill.

So much going on here even if this is still so young. Wild blueberries, tart cherries, red and black plums, licorice, thyme and menthol. Gorgeous dense, glass staining purple unlike any other Vajra wine. So much body and tannin for Dolcetto but all wrapped up in Vajra’s airy elegant style. Can’t wait to revisit more in a few years.

Many if not most Dolcetto have a bitter finish, I find unappealing. Vajra made this, of course I love it! More than any other Piedmonte Vajra combines old school tradition with the midas touch for class, polish & fruit purity. What a great little pizza wine! Paid $24 locally in a mixed case buy. 13.5% alc

A pretty floral nose with violets and berry fruit. Good texture for dolcetto. Nice spice and mix of florals, fruit. Firmer tannins and more body than average for dolcetto, while datil retaining the varietal freshness. Outstanding dolcetto

Outstanding dolcetto! I’m usually not a big fan but this was well balanced and full dolcetto characteristics without the edginess that most dolcetto have.
