  Dark garnet color with moderate bricking
  Moderate but complex aromas - secondary aromas with almost no primary fruit aromas as expected
  Cigar box/ graphite/ bell pepper a little dominant - classic old Bordeaux
  Palate a little dull - red fruit and bell pepper
  Tannins almost completely receded and rather short finish
  Great aged Bordeaux aromas but best drinking is probably past

  Single blind tasting
  Burgundy with bricking. Clear at rim
  Medium + aromatics of earth, tobacco and leather. Secondary notes of herbs, grass and green bell pepper. Some oak. Over time, bell pepper predominates on nose
  Medium palate of fine tannins, medium acid with old cherry. Secondary notes of green bell pepper predominate over time
  Medium finish.
  Nose is truly amazing on this 25 year old wine. Secondary and tertiary characteristics predominate with little fruit. Elements of a disjointing between the nose and palate limit the wines score.
