Drinking well at 17. Made from I believe young vines on grand Cru dirt, so a good time to enjoy. Somewhat surprised by lower CT scores five plus years ago.

Certainly ripe and, for me, a bit too liqueur-like. I almost have trouble believing the label info on 13% alcohol, it feels like at least 14, which is not great in my pinot-book.
Vintage worries aside, this is clearly a serious wine that punches well above village level. Undeniable complexity, silky texture and there's also some sort of freshness that gives the wine much needed lift.
It just doesn't make you reach for the bottle when the first glas is empty.

Stunning village level wine. This is actually made from young vines in Ruchottes. Incredible aromatics of pure, intense, nearly distilled (not in an alcoholic kind of way) red Pinot fruit laced with beefy/iodine-y higher tones. Great minerality, almost like wet, unpolished marble. Amazing focus, balance, clarity and purity. Sumptuous without being the least bit over the top. I would never have picked this as a 2003 wine. Simplyawesome quality at this level.

(Mugneret Dr Georges Gevrey-Chambertin) I was very taken with this wine from 2002 - young vines Ruchottes-Chambertin - this, a little less so. The colour is quite deep with a little purple at the rim. The nose is very 2003 with ripe and deep fruit notes that eventually sharpen and darken - very faint coffee overtones too. The texture is quite good - with reasonable balance and, of-course, concentration. Not the very interesting length and complexity of its brother from 02, but its also a very primary showing. Quite a good 03 but I'd certainly buy the 02 in preference.

Young vine Rouchottes, this bottle was showing great tonight. Fruit is ripe, rich and round, really juicy and expressive. Delicious!

Drinking very well now, surprising for the vintage, it would be a mistake to snub because there's 2003 written on the label.
