Someone described this as Sauternes-lite and that is surprisingly accurate. The nose has ripe peach and apricot, a surprisingly weak aroma of plastic, and plenty of honey. After 15 years of bottle age, there isn’t quite enough acidity left to balance out the sugar. Thankfully it’s just a Kabinett, so it’s hardly cloying. The residual sugar is noticeable in your mouth just as the wine leaves, but not for a second too long. It makes up for its lack of complexity by just being very pleasurable to drink.

What a great discovery. Deep golden color. Nose of Petrol, white peach, golden raisin and nectarine. Heaviest weighted Riesling I have ever tasted, (and the oldest). Great velvety texture. Peaches, apricots, and honey on the palate. Amazingly dry for this flavor profile. Just incredibly yummy. Not flabby at all, yet no discernibly acidic finish. Lovely balance, and a lengthy finish too.

Shockingly good for the price. Rich, clean and long.

Drinking just as well as previous note. Like a fine rare honey on the tongue.

Bowler: Exotic nose, impression of RS.
Same thing on palate, some RS, yellow fruit and mango.
