Still drinking really well. Definitely California style, but done really well for the price. Spicy French oak balances the moderately ripe dark fruit in the nose and then again throughout the mouth and finish. Good acidity and tannins. Always impressed by Burgess, and while relatively simple, this is very good QPR for what it is.

Still drinking really well and expect this still has several years left, but no reason to wait as it's perfect now. Distinctively new world syrah nose, with a relatively elegant mid palate and plenty of well balanced acidity on the finish. Great QPR.

The wine looks purple colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. It has that barnyard floor nose, with some black pepper. It tastes like black currant (cassis) with leather and maybe blackberry, a little. The body is medium. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Artificial cork. Still quite lively but probably more fun younger. Graphite, bramble, asphalt.

Good value for the price. Quite a bit of sediment, but it is a 2005 vintage.
