The latest reviews on CT were writtten in 2010. A couple more years of aging might make a diference. I found this to be a classic example of a good Northern Rhone white wine. 100% Marsanne. Stone fruit and good mineralty. Not too heavy or slick. I detected absolutely no citrus. This wine has a long finish, full of stones.
Looking for a reasonably priced alternative to chardonnay or savignon blanc in the fall/winter that is heavier and quite different? A Rhone white is a great choice.

AC's BDAY -- Great deal, a relatively balanced white Rhone with lotsa personality. Definite rich, round fruit, but I found good acidity to balance it and a touch of bread/bakery confection but dry.

Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of orange, apricot and lemon. Flavors of apricot and lemon. Light to medium acidity, light to medium body. Slightly clipped finish. Drink now.

Staff Favorites (Farpointe Cellar): This wine had lots of oranges and lemon zest on the nose to start. There was also some floral notes, and just the slightest hint of spice. On the palate it was thick with lots of acidity. The fruit was mainly citrus, but there were also some floral notes on the finish.

Lighter nose on this wine, with a hint of apples. Some nice pear shows up on the palate. The acid is light but crisp and it hangs on late. Mild minerals show up as well, making the wine kind of austere.
