Refrescante aromas a pinada, a cuero y a fresas con nata. Huele que alimenta. En cambio al paladar se muestra cortita y sin gracia. Me hubiese apetecido algo de complejidad. ¿Reflejo de la añada?

Top of cork clean, but smelling very much of TCA. However, wine inside fine. A whiff of vanilla on opening. There's a slightly herbal savoury edge, perhaps not quite as obvious as previous bottles, but this one is on the form of my first bottle of this. Quite rich, slightly spicy fruit, a warmth and a toasted coffee bean element to the mid palate. Long and satisfying. ***1/2 on this showing, but will see how it develops overnight.

Majestic Rioja (28-50, Marylebone, London): Corked. I resisted for a while, maintaining it was the slightly green element that reminded me of 78 Claret, but it did get worse with air. Definitely corked. Beginning to think the whole case may indeed be shot. Chill and drink quickly seems to be the best policy...

Another Outstanding Nite (Restaurante Garcia de la Navarra - Madrid): Refreshing aromas of pine wood, leather and strawberries with cream. Smells feeding.
Instead the palate shown shortie without grace. I had coveted some complexity. Reflecting the vintage ?

Musty corky smell and taste. I think that that all of my batch must be knackered

Rioja dinner (28-50, Marylebone, London): TCA on the nose, but much less noticeable on the palate where it came over quite rich and red fruited
