Drank with duck legs. No wonder of complexity but a nice Nebbiolo. Fully resolved tannins, red-fruited and bright. Very good plus. Will hold but drink now-

brick red, somewhat translucent. Slight past peak faded, earthy, still a tiniest bit of acidly and tannin soft dry. mushroomy, tad of tea and dried current. It was only okay until paired with supper wild boar mini-roast with black truffle and thyme butter. It paired beautifully - more so than the other barolo that was slightly younger fruity Renato Ratti 2005. Although it still a wonderful wine own its own.

Brick red, nice concentration. Muted aromas, but hints of smoke, tea, tar and cherries. Full bodied, dry attack, then nice cherry fruit combined with some dry wood and tar. Rather short in the aftertaste, but well balanced, good acidity, freshness nicely balanced with dryness and sweetness. Almost elegant, although the concentration could have been better. Keeps its age nicely, as all the '04s in the tasting did. No hurry with this wine.

Delicious, soft well rounded tannins, fruit holding up well, gentle acidity with some length.

Well balanced and mature. Soft tannins, red fruit and residual acidity. At its best 30 mins in the glass and then faded over the next hour.
