At first thought this seemed to be past its due date, however the initial old, sour fruit passed and the body filled in a bit, I still think this is very near its end. This wasnt the juicy aromatic wine it was in the past, though still showed life and resembled what it was in the past.

80% Corvina with 20% Rondinella. Deep ruby coloured with brick shades. Iodine, medlar core with earthy, spicy notes and dried berries. Full with matching acidity, fine tannins with peppery notes along with dry black fruit and acents of tea. Better drink soon.

A deep and dark garnet, with a ruby rim. Black pepper, red fruit, ripe peach, licorice and saw dust. A plush palate that is round and complete. Intrinsic flavors and judicial layers. There is no need to wait. Drink now - 2015.

Masi Seminar with Raffaele Boscaini of Masi Agricola (Binnys Lakeview Catacombs): Raffaele informed us that this is like the Campofiorin, but with increased dried grapes used and the Molinara is completely eliminated, giving an increased share to the Corvina. Mixture of dried and fleshy cherry, violet, some light smoke and perfume and a hint of leather. More complex than the Campofiorin, but is it really worth twice the price?
