Bought for cocktails after seeing white port as an ingredient on cocktail menus for years, and that’s exactly how this should be used. Straightforward palate of golden raisin and dried apple, burning alcohol, don’t bother drinking it straight – if you’re going to buy, use it to put a twist on your Negroni.

Confraria Induction Trip; 6/19/2022-6/26/2022 (Porto, Portugal): Amber-gold in color. Light tropical fruit with some floral notes on the nose. Nice intensity and sweetness, but it has good balance with the acidity. The very long finish was unexpected and a pleasant surprise. Overall, a rich, balanced wine that punches well above its 9 Euro price.

Served chilled from the fridge so the nose is giving very little Bright amber colour, sweet palate of sultanas and dried apricots and peaches. The finish has spiciness and some heady alcohol to warm you through. Lots of personality for less than €6 a bottle.

Very lovely rose color with a light fruity nose. Not as sweet as I would expect from a port but a nice light sweetness which would complement a number of desserts - especially cake types - maybe an almond cake would be nice. Not an especially complex wine or a long finish but nice for the price point.
