From glass, last of the bottle. Light orange-brown cider color, dark specs of sediment. An advanced nose, but also tart, cidery apple, light petrol, and finally also caramel. Still a living wine then, and on the palate too; less intensity, but pulses once or twice in the midpalate and shows a bit of its former, more acidic self. There is a sequence of mild dishes over which I could have enjoyed a bottle of this, including a poached white fish, for example. Charming older wine.

Quite a brown colour. Still a peachy nose, but with significant degree of oxidative colour. Very odd oxidative, old fruit palate. Very long. Utterly idiosyncratic.

The Oddbins Old World Wine Fair; 5/16/1992-5/17/1992 (London): Viognier dominated, apparently. This is something very special indeed. Excellent.
