  Picked this up at the winery in Sept. '98, and lost track of it in the cellar. Wasn't really expecting much after so long, but am very impressed. Starts of with a big nose of vanilla and cedar, which fades into a wonderful symphony of violets, lavender, and black cherry. On the palate, still very intense, showing ripe cherry, spicy blackberry and a subtle hint of fresh herbs. The finish is supple, and quite long, echoing with herbal note with a dash of espresso and cocoa powder. Wonderful Cab Franc.
