Night 1--This does not require decanting. However, it did rapidly open up during the first 10+ minutes after popping and pouring. The rating is based on how it was doing after about 15 minutes. If I do not make another entry tomorrow, assume that the rating held stable for night two. (It was vacuum sealed between nights one and two.) Night 2--There was a slight improvement on the second night. I am bumping the score up from 91 to 92.

Wow, what a pleasure. You know it's good when you and the wifey are fighting about how much of the last smidge is rightfully yours! : ) Dark fruit, plum on the nose and palate. Bright and lush fruit, good mouth feel. A tad short on the finish. Nice weight and present, but well integrated, and mild, tannins. I would ignore the previous poster about drinking it now as the tannins will clearly preserve the fruit here and he seems to have had the same bottle over four days. Frankly, I disagree with most of the prior posters ratings, (except blue shorts) as evident in my rating, but this collage of input is most helpful to us all and appreciated and relied upon by me (including re this wine). I think it has softened since Sausalito had his/her bottle (We did have it as an aperitif that continued into dinner). Cheers!

Aerated before drinking, but still a bit harsh and tannic. Full-bodied and fruity, but the typical high-alcohol shows through. Was better 2 days later, so may need more time.
