  The wine is medium garnet in colour. The nose is clean with pronounced aromas of ripe dark fruit (cherry), dried fruit (fig), oak (smoke, clove), floral (violet), spice (liquorice), tertiary development (sous-bois, vegetal). The wine is fully developed. The palate is dry with medium (+) acidity, medium ripe tannins, medium alcohol, medium (+) body, quite rich, medium (+) intensity flavours of dark cherry, smoke, liquorice, sous-bois. Medium (+) finish. Very good quality, mature, village Gevrey Chambertin. Lacks a little finesse and elegance, structure doesn't quite match the intensity of the fruit, but drinking very well now. Drink in next 12-18 months, not suitable for further ageing.
