The wine is clear with medium intense garnet core, slightly paler rim, developing
on the nose it is clean, medium intense with aromas of dark cherry, smoke, vanilla, cinnamon stick, clove, oak, developing
the palate is dry with medium+ acidity, medium smooth tannins, medium acidity, body and medium+ flavour intensity with aromas of dark cherry, oak, smoke, earth, cinnamon stick, hint of bitterness, some floral notes, violets, long finish
quite well balanced, with solid concentration and lenght. Compleity is deep but much of it is from oak and in form of spice aromas, not that intense. Needs som more time to fully expose, very good if not outstanding quality, 91-92p

An Offer of Awesome Burgundy Inspires A Day of Tasting In the Willamette Valley (Willamette Valley): Apples and mellow cherry scents are framed by some nutmeg scents delivered by the barrel. The wine starts out just lovely, and great acid comes in on the mid palate and makes the mouth water. I love that sensation! Some nice apple flavors show up, and vanilla oak provides some excellent body. The tannins are soft, and I really like the body on this wine. Gorgeous!

A day tasting in the Willamette Valley with the usual suspects (Oregon): The nose shows more towards dark cherry fruit here, dried cranberries, stemmy notes, and some red tea. Smells really nice. Heavier weight palate, lots of dark red fruits, figs, chalk. A nice progression into the finish with again beautiful structure that feels great and carries on a long time in the finish. Feels great, tastes great. I originally tried to buy this but they were sold out so I went for the Beaux Monts.

Lucien Le Moine at Scott Paul, and other WV because we're there (Carlton, OR): Much larger in scale nose than the other Lucien Le Moine wines. Darker (both in terms of color and aromas), some nice green salad, green grass with the sprinkler on, and fairly pleasing once I get into it. Very smooth on the palate, showing dark red fruits, red apple, and bigger in scale, showing some soft light tannins. Nice acid and dark cherries carry into the finish, coupled with some fruit salad complete with the cream. Nice and easy to drink.
