still drinking wonderfully well - fruity (melon, pineapple with just a hint of marzipan.butterscotch) but very elegant. Also very New World lacking the minerality of say a Burgundy wine but the purity amd lightness of the oak was very impressive

A great start to "Operation Drinkup" in relation to SA Chardonnay - yes there was a palate of mature wine but it was stilll fresh fruit with no real hint of maderization/oxidation in either the still pale yellow/green colour or in the remaining balance in the mouth with no over sweet caramel flavours.
For me this wine holds great hope that SA Chardonnay can age well - Based on this bottle I would happily keep this wine for another year or so

Last bottle - still drinking well showing that well-made SA Chardonnay can age gracefully - lighter in style than many of its neighbours

Lovely balance between the light delicate fruit and the hint of oak - a very pleasing SA Chardonnay and perhaps now drinking at its best
